Chrysler Group LLC’s Automobility Program Displays Minivans at 2012 North American International Auto Show

Designed to help customers with permanent disabilities enter, exit and/or operate a new vehicle, Chrysler Group LLC’s Automobility Program makes its debut at the 2012 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) with two minivans equipped with ramps for wheelchair accessibility.

The Automobility Program will display a 2012 Chrysler Town & Country equipped with a side-entrance ramp and a 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan SE with a rear-entrance ramp. The ramps were installed by The Braun Corp.

“We are committed to helping our physically-challenged customers to enter, exit and/or operate a new vehicle,” said Reid Bigland, President and CEO – Dodge Brand and Head of U.S. Sales. “This is our first Automobility display at the North American International Auto Show, a perfect event to spread the word that we want to help ease the financial burden of drivers and passengers with physical challenges.”

When you buy or lease any new Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram or Fiat vehicle from a participating dealer, Chrysler Group will give you a cash reimbursement to help reduce the cost of installing the adaptive driver or passenger equipment on your vehicle. Conversions to Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram and Fiat models qualify for a maximum reimbursement of $1,000.
